Lawrence Noble to Sculpt Live at Celebration Japan
Lawrence Noble, the talented sculptor who has created many stunning original works, including the bronze statue of Jedi Master Yoda installed at Lucasfilm's offices in the Presidio, San Francisco, will be sculpting live during Star Wars Celebration Japan. Noble is scheduled to work as part of the Celebration Japan Art Show, and will be talking with fans as he creates a one-of-a-kind, life-sized bust of a beloved Star Wars character from the saga.
What's more, one extremely fortunate fan who attends Celebration Japan will be selected to receive the completed, original sculpt! Noble plans to sculpt a life-sized, head and shoulders bust of Luke Skywalker from the original Star Wars trilogy. This priceless piece will be cast under Noble's direction after the show, then shipped to the winner’s place of residence by Lewis + Daniel Group, co-producers with Lucasfilm of Star Wars Celebration Japan.
Noble's many achievements include designing numerous motion picture advertising campaigns, like The Empire Strikes Back 10th anniversary poster. Danbury Mint selected him to design and produce the Star Wars chess set. He has been commissioned to create many works since, including a bronze bust of Gene Roddenberry, creator of Star Trek.
